Fall Fashion: Spend Less & Look Great Year after Year
The fall here in the Midwest is magical and a favorite part of the season for me is getting to wear sweaters, jackets and boots again. I am one of those weird people that would prefer a jacket and jeans to a swim suit or shorts.
To honor this beautiful time of year, I wanted to create a list of essential fall picks that can be used season after season. Like I express in my capsule wardrobe post, if I am going to buy clothing, I am going to choose styles that are classic and durable. You do not need all these items to be fashionable, but these pieces can be mixed and matched in many different ways.
To give you an idea, I have a jean jacket I have owned since college and it still looks great with a white t-shirt, a turtleneck or a flannel shirt. I have been out of college for over ten years now, but this essential piece stays in the closet year after year. The newest addition to my fall wardrobe is a green cargo jacket. I have wanted one for awhile now, and I recently found one that fits great and looks good. Get each piece as you can afford it and they will serve you well for years, depending on the quality and frequently it is worn.
(Special shout out to my beautiful friend, Krystle Barker, for being my model for some of the fall fashions you see in this post.)
I hope you will feel good, look good and stay in budget this fall season.

Now that you are stylin’ for the season, go out and get a pumpkin, hot cider, a bushel of apples or simply take a walk under the colorful leaves!
Leopard Loafers, leopard print belt or leopard print sweater adds interest to an outfit.
Happy Fall Y’all!
Best,
