My Design Philosophy
I have heard many parents say that they are not going to work on their house because they have children. I have six children, so I understand that children can be destructive, but creating a beautiful and functional home is actually a solution to that challenge. When children see parents model care for their home, they will follow that example. Yes, there will be spills and messy days, but creating a home that you love will positively impact the whole family. ”Everything in your home triggers an emotional response. The spaciousness of your home, the layout of the room, the lighting, the use of materials, the presence of plants and flowers, the use of color, and the use of art are all ways to improve your mood, increase your focus, and reduce anxiety.” (Heritage Interior Design, 2023). My job is to help families find balance and harmony between beauty, durability and function in their home so every person can enjoy the benefits of interior design.
