FAMILY: Path to Perfection
My family (husband and three daughters, along with my extended family) are the greatest catalyst for growth in my life. I have spent a lot of time learning about who I am and how to become better by observing, teaching and serving my family members. Learning in a family really is the path to perfection.
My parents and siblings are still such an important part of my life. I talk to them frequently, asking for advice, a listening ear and unconditional love. They watched me grow, they tested my patience and they forgave me over and over.
Since becoming a parent I see the overwhelming and awesome responsibility that family is. Truly, home and family is the place where all the foundational principles are taught…simple ideas like: be kind, be smart, be honest, be generous and so on. I am eager to be a good parent, but I must admit, I may need more lessons on life than my girls do. I believe that children have a lot to teach all of us. I wrote a post about this idea.
So much of my life and this blog is dedicated to making family and home better and impactful. My young children have so much to teach me and I try to glean from their innocent wisdom daily.
